Setting Up Your Fernhurst.org Email

The following 'walkthrough' will assist you in configuring Microsoft Outlook for collecting your emails using POP3 protocol. Outlook Express is very similar.

From the 'Tools' menu in Mircosoft Outlook, select 'Email Accounts' ...

Select 'Add a new e-mail account' and click 'Next' ...

Select 'POPs' and click 'Next' ...

Complete the information as shown in the example above. You will be informed of all of these values when we confirm your e-mail address. Please note that your username is your email address with dashes ("-") replacing the dots (".") and 'at' sign ("@").

Then click 'More Settings' ...

In the 'Outgoing Server' tag (along the top of the window) ... make sure that the 'tick box' "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and then ensure that you use the same settings as the incoming server (top button).

Then click 'OK' and then 'Next' ...
